Executive Coach TrainingExecutive Coaching has become an a significant part of Executive Development in recent years and provides substantial benefits for people who are seeking professional development. Executive Coaching often provides competent business resources for the people or "human side" of leading people and building teams to accomplish business goals. Transformational CoachingThere are two ways that people learn. The first is linear incremental learning in which people learn skills and abilities by building stepwise on previously learned skills. However while learning new skills what does not change in this type of learning is the person. Transformational learning occurs when the person changes their view of themselves and the world in which they live. They may not learn a new skill but they will learn to offer their skills in more effective and efficient ways. Spiritually this type of transformational learning is called, enlightenment, conversion or being born again. At the Clergy Leadership Institute we use a foundation of Appreciative Inquiry as a the basis for transformational coaching. Appreciative Coach Training ProgramsThe Clergy Leadership Institute provides several programs for those interested in developing their coaching skills. Grounded in the Appreciative Way, our Coaching Competent Leaders program uses a variety of Emotional Intelligence and Executive Coaching assessments as a basis for providing training in essential leadership competencies. While oriented primarily toward coaching and consulting with clergy and churches our Certificate in Appreciative Coaching would also be applicable to anyone who wants to provide Executive Coaching using:
Spiritual PerspectiveOur training programs are explicitly Christian in their theological outlook but are open to a wide variety of spiritual expression, including Buddhist and other compassionate, contemplative practices. Participation in our programs does not require a specific belief system, however it does require that participants can reflect theologically and psychologically on their life and coaching.
