Appreciative Inquiry
An Introductory Workshop for Executives and Consultants

In addition to our work with clergy and churches we provide Appreciative Inquiry training for Business Executives and Consultants.

In this three day workshop business personnel will:

  • Gain an in depth understanding of Appreciative Inquiry
  • Conduct an appreciative inquiry into their own career
  • Appreciatively review and develop your personal mission
  • Learn practical appreciative tools to apply in your work and life
  • Discover positive alternatives to viewing the workplace as a problem to be solved
  • Learn how to be an appreciative presence in the work place
Typical Workshop Schedule:

The following is a typical workshop schedule. Depending on location, the workshop schedule may vary with respect to starting and finishing times and the exact number of continuing education contact hours. On the training schedule page you can download a flyer for each specific program with its specific dates and continuing education contact hours. When you register for a specific program you will also receive a confirmation email that will have the dates and schedule with starting and finishing times for that program.

Day 1:

1:00-1:30 pm   Registration
1:30-5:00 pm   Session 1 Discovering the best of what is.
5:00-7:00 pm   Supper
7:00-9:00 pm   Session 2 Interviewing and story telling in appreciative inquiry

Day 2:

9:00-12:00 pm   Session 3 Imagining what might be
12:00-2:00 pm   Lunch
2:00-5:00 pm     Session 4 Designing what could be

Day 3:

9:00-12:00 pm   Session 5 Delivering what will be.

Workshop Format

The above workshop format can be adapted to a two day workshop or as an "in-house" training program.

The typical training program usually has the following learning process:

  • Didactic presentations
  • Personal practice and experience of appreciative process
  • Time for personal review and reflection
  • Opportunity for creative reflection on the past and anticipation of the future
Costs

Specific times and costs will vary depending on the sponsoring organization and the nature of the specific program.

Accommodation

Accommodation is dependent on the training locations and will be specified on the registration forms.
When provided accommodation for participants is generally on a first come first served basis with a commuter rates also being available.

Presenter

Rob Voyle is an Executive Coach Psychologist and ordained Episcopal priest. He is the Director of the Clergy Leadership Institute. Rob was an original faculty member, and taught for five years at the College of Executive Coaching where he taught and coached hundreds of personal and executive coaches how to use appreciative inquiry as a basis for their coaching work.

Rob is an accomplished speaker and trainer. At a recent coaching workshop given for psychologists and family therapists over two thirds of the attendees rated Rob's presentation on Appreciative Inquiry as:

"one of the best workshops I've attended in years"
