Introduction to Appreciative CoachingIn the introductory coach training class participants will be taught essential coaching strategies, based in the appreciative inquiry approach, to establish a coaching relationship and to help people make transformational breakthroughs in their life and work. This introductory program is a precursor to our Advanced Coach Training and is also part of our Certificate in Appreciative Coaching program. Some of the training topics will include:
Please Note: This introductory program will also be offered as a week long program Foundations of Appreciative Coaching. This program will integrate the Introduction to Appreciative Inquiry material with the Introduction to Appreciative Coaching in the week-long format. While the information provided is the same as the two introductory courses, the material is sequenced differently to allow the coaching to be introduced at the beginning of the week. Continuing Education Programs Who Should Attend This Program
While primarily oriented toward clergy this program is also open to those who have substantial experience as a Counselor or Mentor and who are interested in Coaching appreciatively with clergy and who can reflect theologically and psychologically on their coaching. Attendance is limited to 14 participants to allow maximum contact with the instructor during the practice and experiential exercises. Eligibility Requirements to take Appreciative Coach TrainingThe Introduction to Appreciative Coaching program is built on the core understanding of Appreciative Inquiry and is open to those who have completed the Clergy Leadership Institute Appreciative Inquiry training. In addition, to participate in our Appreciative Coach training programs participants must have:
Note: Work experience must be in a leadership capacity that is applicable to the work of clergy and others in leadership roles. In addition all candidates must be able to reflect theologically and psychologically on their life and work. Typical Workshop Schedule:The following is a typical workshop schedule. The exact schedule may vary depending on location. For each specific program a flyer with dates, schedule times, and continuing education hours can be found on the training schedule page. This program usually starts after lunch on the third day of the appreciative inquiry training. Day 3: Day 4: Day 5: Specific times and costs may vary depending on the sponsoring organization. Participants who register at the same time for the consecutive Introduction to Appreciative Inquiry and The Introduction to Coaching program will receive a $50 discount. AccommodationAccommodation and facility use fees are extra and are dependent on the training locations and will be specified on the registration forms. Meals between sessions are typically provided for commuters. PresenterRob Voyle is an ordained Episcopal priest, psychologist, and executive coach. He is the Director of the Clergy Leadership Institute. Rob was an original faculty member, and taught for five years at the College of Executive Coaching where he taught and coached hundreds of personal and executive coaches how to use appreciative inquiry as a basis for their coaching work.
