Appreciative Coach TrainingIn our Certificate in Appreciative Coaching training we do more than teach the skills of coaching. While we spend considerable time on teaching specific coaching competencies we want to grow these competencies on the firm foundation of who you are and what you believe is your core personal purpose. We can apply the Coaching Spiral to becoming a coach to create a holistic understanding of your development as a Coach and the aspects that we cover in the coach training. Purpose: What is your personal core purpose? Identity: What does it mean to you to be able to say "I am a coach"? Values: What is truly important to you and what do you value about yourself? Expectations: What do you need in order to believe that you will be successful as a coach? Skills: What coaching competencies do you need to develop to provide effective, elegant coaching that transforms the lives of those you serve? Environment: What environmental resources do you need to be able to provide the coaching services you desire to offer to your clients? >>

Download Coach Training Competencies Appreciative Coach Training Program ElementsThe Clergy Leadership Institute provides several programs for those interested in developing their appreciative inquiry based transformational coaching skills. The following programs can also be combined into a year-long Certificate in Appreciative Coaching
Note: The Foundations class is a week-long format that presents the same material as the two half-week introductory programs. While the content is the same the material is presented in an alternative sequence to allow the coach training to be focussed on throughout the week. Program SequencingWhile these programs are separate and stand alone some do build sequentially on material presented in the introductory classes and taking them in sequence is necessary. In planning your continuing education please keep in mind: The Coaching Competent Leaders can be taken at any time in the sequence. The Introduction to Appreciative Coaching program requires prior attendance in the Introduction to Appreciative Inquiry program. The Advanced Coach Training program requires prior participation in either Introduction to Appreciative Coaching or the Foundations of Appreciative Coaching program. The Year-long, Weekly Teleconference requires that you have attended at least one of the programs and are committed to working on your Certificate in Appreciative Coaching. Who Should Attend Coach TrainingWhile primarily oriented toward clergy and those who work with clergy and church leaders, our Certificate in Appreciative Coaching is also open to those who have substantial experience as a Coach or mentor and who can reflect theologically and psychologically on their coaching and are interested in using their spiritual resources and understanding in their coaching. In particular the training would be of benefit to:
