Typical Training Day

The challenge in providing quality training programs is to balance the opportunity for exposure to new information and ideas, experiential activity, and times for reflection, while at the same time keeping people at an energy level conducive to maximum learning.

Here is a Typical Training Day.

9:00-12:00        Session
12:00-1:30 pm   Lunch
1:30-3:00 pm     Session
3:30-4:00 pm     Walking Meditation and Reflection
5:00-7:00 pm     Supper
7:00-9:00 pm     Evening session is optionaL

We endeavor to provide a balance of didactic presentations and experiential exercises with short breaks at appropriate times during the program. Commuters are provided meals such as lunch if the program continues after the meal.

In the afternoon, location permitting, people are invited to engage in a walking meditation. This is to provide opportunity for reflection and synthesis of the learning experience.

Several evening activities may be scheduled. These tend to be experiential in nature so as to reduce potential for intellectual fatigue

If you have any special needs please let us know at your earliest convenience so we can create the best learning opportunity for you.

To facilitate return travel plans the final day of training typically ends at noon with no meal scheduled.

Quality Training is Expensive,
Arrive Rested to Maximize Learning

We encourage participants to make good use of their continuing education funds. Often the most expensive part of the training is the travel and accommodation expenses and not the tuition. It has been our experience that planning on arriving at a reasonable time on the day before the training allows people to engage in the learning in a rested rather than a harried state. The added expense of an extra nights accommodation is worth the money if it means that you are able to fully engage in the learning experience and sustain your energy during the program.
